Award-Winning Liveable Aged Care
Natural Chalet Oak RU and Chestnut NW have been showcased within Trugo Place by Japara, a world-class, award-winning Aged Care Home in Newport, Victoria.
Hansen Yuncken partnered with Crosier Scott Architects to create this masterpiece, the design is in line with modern, quality apartment buildings, rather than traditional aged care built forms, acknowledging the future evolving demographic of the aged care sector. The internal environments have been designed to actively promote wellbeing, openness, and movement, while also providing a range of zones designed for engagement.
This four-storey, state of the art aged care facility includes 120 beds, comfortable communal spaces, on site kitchen and laundry, roof-level plant area and a spacious basement car park.
Located adjacent to Newport Lakes with views towards Port Phillip Bay, Trugo Place is imbued with a sense of peace and calm. Communal spaces and living areas are flooded with natural light, while external views work to ground residents in space and time. Natural light and air penetrate the building, and generous connections provide direct access to the landscape.
